Meghan Markle is revealing something very personal.
The 39-year-old Duchess of Sussex opened up in a personal essay called “The Losses We Share” for The New York Times on Wednesday (November 25) about a miscarriage she suffered in the summer, calling “almost unbearable grief” to her and husband Prince Harry.

In the essay, she detailed a “sharp pain” that she felt in July while changing one-year-old boy Archie’s diaper at home in California.
“I dropped to the floor with him in my arms, humming a lullaby to keep us both calm, the cheerful tune a stark contrast to my sense that something was not right. I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second,” she disclosed.
She said she was taken to a hospital alongside her husband, and “kissed his knuckles, wet from both our tears.”
