Roommates, as many around the country are making their voices heard by protesting the tragic death of Daunte Wright at the hands of ex police officer Kim Potter—an update was lately released regarding her arrest. Just hours after she was apprehended following being charged with manslaughter, Kim Potter was officially released on $100,000 bond.
Kim Potter, who was apprehended and transferred to the Hennepin County Jail, posted a bond of $100,000 after she was officially charged with manslaughter for shooting and killing 20-year-old Daunte Wright. According to Washington County Attorney Pete Orput, who was responsible for Potter’s charge and arrest, the maximum penalty of manslaughter in Minnesota is 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
