Get into this mess, Roomies! A California couple was thrilled to purchase a new home in Riverside on January 31, 2020, and more than one year later, they still haven’t moved in. If y’all remember, the state of California enacted a law which put a stop to evictions due to the pandemic, and in spite of singing the house over, the man decided he was not going anywhere.
According to Fox LA, Tracie and Myles Albert used their life savings and a loan to purchase the $560,000 Riverside home but have not been able to move in. Unfortunately, the man who sold the home found a loophole in the California eviction moratorium, which has made it hard for the Albert’s to get authorities to forcefully eliminate him from the house.
